Course Description
The basic training course is the government-approved course you need before you can take your exam and get your provincial security license. With our training, you’ll master all the basics, but you’ll also learn advanced patrol techniques, how to handle challenging people and situations, and how to apply crisis management strategies.

Upon completion of our Basic Security Training (BST) program, participants will acquire comprehensive knowledge of the Security Industry. This includes:
Section 1 – Introduction to the security field
Section 2 – The Private Security and Investigative Services Act and the Ministry Code of Conduct
Section 3 – Fundamental security procedures
Section 4 – Report writing skills.
Section 5 – Health and safety guidelines
Section 6 – Preparation for emergency responses
Section 7 – Understanding the Canadian legal system
Section 8 – Knowledge of legal authorities
Section 9 – Effective communication techniques
Section 10 – Sensitivity training
Section 11 – Theory of using force.
Section 12 – Emergency level first aid certification
